Our eyes are the most important of the five senses, and because they are, we pay particular attention to any deviation that prevents us from properly to be seen. There was a time not too long ago that the moment we have a problem with our vision, we visit our ophthalmologist to the health of our eyes. When he suggested reading, and we followed his advice.

Today, a new approach to eye care is becoming more popular, that is, our visual use of natural methods so that we avoid surgery, and eyewear and instead on alternative and holistic approaches to better eye health.

One of the interesting facts that were discovered when the research eye health in this country: While studies have shown that less than 3% of children have visual defects at birth, as adults they are part of two thirds of the population, be prescribed glasses.

This raises an interesting question and one that was and is a part of an ongoing debate: Do we really need to wear glasses? Traditional medicine suggests that we do, but those who favor a non-traditional and holistic approach to eye health differ. Their idea is that wearing glasses in force blinds us to the real problems associated with poor eyesight, and that enhanced the eyes and the degeneration of vision is a direct cause for optical lenses.

The Bates Method

One of the most renowned ophthalmologists who are concerned with the health eye was a man named William Bates. He began his internship at Columbia Hospital, and because it directly to determining what caused the eye problems in his patients, he studied the inner workings of the eye thoroughly. He concluded that the external muscles of the eye provides a good eyesight and not, as conventional wisdom suggested that the lens itself

His conclusion, after years of patient study, was that the wearing of glasses have absolutely nothing to improve the conditions under which we are in a better position to see, but that these lenses, the additional strain on the eye muscles. He claimed that the glasses and contact lenses caused more harm than good and not to improve vision at all. So, while glasses are used for light, in the eye, the problem is not the light, but the eye.

Bates was the belief that the eye problems under two main categories: stress and psychological distress. He believed that if you are under stress, the muscles in the eye is affected, and that a peaceful state of mind, the burden imposed by the stress. So he uses a method it can relax the muscles in the eye on the movement and begin the conversion of an eye, naturally and without stress.

His idea is that it makes sense. Everyone has the ability to see things clearly and should be in a relaxed state of mind. With regard to any object in a relaxed state are not a burden for the eyes, and it is the natural way in which the eyes are to operate. Without the stress of concentrating on the things we can not see the results in the ability to see.

The Bates method of vision consisted of four major exercises, in combination with a relaxed mental state:

Palming – While many eye doctors are not well versed in this method, it is nonetheless important for eye relaxation. Just sitting at a table with her head on her hands, the fingers against the forehead. The eyes have it then no light can penetrate. In addition, the hands are not on the eyes. This state of relaxation your eyes for a few minutes was very effective in improving vision.

Suns – Studies have shown that this method is necessary and valuable to the eyes. Go on a sunny day, close your eyes and point your head to the sun. Soft weigh back and forth as the sun light bathes the eye.

Swinging – How your finger in front of your eyes, rock back and forth. Bates, that helps to peripheral vision, and focus on the same time.

Blinking – This well-known exercise with breathing exercises for relaxation and massage for the eyes, while at the same time, the lubrication and bring a balance within.

With these exercises to improve your vision today.

Editorial Tips

Before I discuss the causes of small intestinal obstruction, I like to talk about the function of the small intestine. Small intestine is a part of the gastro-intestinal tract, which is immediately after the stomach, where the vast majority of digestion and absorption of food instead.

And yes, I know from years of experience in working with women in the weight loss / fitness industry, what are the excuses. I’m too busy, and believe me, I can understand, but as your weight loss coach, it’s my job to inspire you to get results, and highlights the excuses.

They never left the gym long enough to lose their athletic skill. Some experts have advocated actually RUN away bodybuilding as an ideal strategy to healthy for the people who want to keep fit, but not the intent on building muscles.

Would not it be great if there is a way in which older folk could be encouraged to improve their part of the movement within their abilities and enjoy the experience!

Many older people in their movements find themselves in a Catch 22 situation where their relatives, friends, coaches, etc., which sometimes get the feeling that it is the “status quo” and should not be changed. Sun tries to show “friendly” people will often attempt to do everything for them, even if they are actually capable of, with a little encouragement from yourself. As a result, the muscles are still weak from lack of use, joints stiff, movement is deteriorating and more help is / will be needed and so the circle next to the detriment of the “victim”.

Of course every situation is different, depending on the persons general health and ability, but sometimes a positive and proactive approach can make a huge difference, not only for the mobility of people, but also for the general well-being or ‘spirit’ of person.

Just to illustrate with an example. Louise and I were presenting one of our interactive music workshops in a residential care home for the elderly. When we arrived, everyone was hearing was the TV with varying degrees of disinterest. There were probably twenty people in the lounge and we had a “Singalong” with them with song sheets with a few old party favorite choruses, and the mood was already repealed. To set the mood, however, that for a breather, we encourage them to a soothing piano piece for a few moments.

The next piece was planned that the program was, would you believe, Bill ♥ haley ♥ ‘s “Rock around the Clock”! As usual, we have small percussion instruments, light colored maracas and tambourines to those which they could hold. I have the music, and gradually increases the volume while on a reasonable level. I was surprised at the number of those in their 70′s and 80′s who actually knew the majority of words! I suddenly became aware that some of the employees supervisor looking on with astonishment a spot in the room behind me. When I turned around, because in the corner of a small elderly lady was on his feet and jiving!

At the end of the session, the senior nursing staff entrusted, that it is the movement they had seen in “Betty” for the age, since they mostly just sat in the same chair day after day. Carers had been out of the way to everything easily accessible and helpful in assisting you get and set, etc. It was a page (and ability) that they practically do not realize that where she was ninety-two OK to just “sit around”.

The combination of music, the camaraderie, memories, and the promotion had already shown what they seemingly frail body was capable of.

Given the power of music will be great opportinities to encourage older folk to improve the movement, although of course skills vary from person to person. Find the treacherous characters such as small hand or head movements, may be a toe tapping, and then the opportunity to interact with the person, perhaps by similar movements or even if it is practical, easy, one hand and the promotion of the movement, the manner. A word of caution, however, carefully consider the volume, while most older people of the modern level is too loud, of course, have some hearing ability and, in fact, a slightly higher volume, – which is considerably lower than that of our modern society can be used for daily listening!

The benefits for those who can simply rhythmic movements of the body or limbs are multiple, muscle use, joint flexing, improved circulation, and sometimes even an improvement in appetite, and especially the lifting of the mind. What a great shape (it’s free!) Music therapy can be selected, and when used sensibly.

Editorial Tips

As a beginning and intensity cardio training guide can be helpful. For an idea, subtract your age from 220 and multiply the number that of 0.60. The number that you see would be the lowest heart rate per minute during your workout.

They are simply too perfect to live and, truth to tell, it does not really exist. These people with seemingly impossible speed metabolism, these people that everything they eat, how are you and me. You only need a secret weapon against fat, anyone can use, even from you.

What if I told you that regular fish oil concentrate as a dietary supplement is not really a new thing. In fact, this recommendation has been going on health for centuries. Cod liver oil reached its meaning way back in the 1890s, as a provider of health care, that the age started prescribing this supplement to young children as a means of prevention and treatment of rickets.

The ancient Greeks had the most perfect physiques athletes ever. Part of the training used to get in this way with free weights. Relics from ancient Greece show athletes lifting rocks and other primitive weights in a variety of ways.

Despite an impressive pedigree, free weight to suffer from a few misunderstandings today, and this article will try to calm down.

The first myth that remains is that the use of weights will turn into a big bodybuilder or The Incredible Hulk. “I do not use weights, because I do not want to be bulky,” is a line I often hear.

The truth is that the development of a bodybuilding physique is not just coincidental. This kind of body takes years and years to develop. You must train with heavy weights for hours a day and consume enormous quantities of foods and supplements to it. Perhaps even on steroids. So if you have any fears (or illusions) to look like a bodybuilder now, they are gone.

The second idea, which never seems to die, is that if you train with weights, your muscles will respond to fat when one grows older. Again, this is wrong. Muscle and fat are two totally different types of tissue. You can not to the other no more than can lead into gold.

Yes, some people who are in good form to lose muscle and gain fat as they get older, but this is more and more because it is the pursuit and began to eat poorly. The bad habits they had at the end as yet, it has nothing to do with whether they even lifted weights!

See it this way: Who will win the lottery sometimes stupid things with their money and at the end as destitute as they are at the beginning. But the money is, that the guilt? Does this mean that the lottery to win, they broke? Imagine someone saying: “I will not get rich, because if I lose my money one day, then I’m bad!” If that sounds stupid because it is. The idea that the muscles in fat is the same kind of faulty logic.

Let’s talk now about the versatility of the weights. Many people do not realize, but weights have a variety of applications, only one of which “is always great.” I like the idea of the weights as an artist tools. You can use it in many different ways to the special effects you want. Like a sculptor with a full range of mallets, chisels, rasps and sandpaper in his work, you should employ the right kind of strength training at the right time.

A kind of strength training is very good for burning fat. These exercises have a strong effect on the metabolism to help you shed inch from the hip and become leaner. Another way is excellent for the inclusion of certain size strategically. This type of training is best if you want a certain body part of something bigger, so that your body as a whole is perfectly proportioned. And there is a third type of strength training is great for the polishing of the muscles, the finishing touches on your appearance.

I suggest you begin to believe the body as a work of art, and free weights, as the tools you use to view it. If you are in this kind of thinking, you will realize how stupid some of these myths are. You will also appreciate that not a single kind of strength will always be perfect. It depends on what your specific goals are, and at what stage of your “sculpture” is in.

Editorial Tips

If you have your last REP and the feeling that you could be another, increase the weight by 5-10 percent. You may find that if you have a significant amount of weight, you are less employees, which is fine, as long as you target the muscles are tired from the last rep.

If you try, your muscles without eating protein, it is the same as to build a brick house without bricks. Carbohydrates are the body to the intense training, you need to in order to develop the biceps.

Another error in the bodybuilders think that spending too much time in the gym is good, because it bodybuilding progress. But this is not true, because if you spend much time in the gym at the end you burn a lot of calories. To be successful in building up the muscles, you must use the energy you have in your body.
